MAT CHAT - THURSDAY, MAY 28


Join Principal, Philomena Rambo, on Thursday, May 28 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m at the Civic Center Library. The Library Café, “The Daily Grind,” is open early if you’d like to grab a cup of coffee, or bring your own, along with your questions, comments, and ideas.

COLLABORATION WITH JOE MICHELL


Joe Michell's 1st and 2nd grade teacher, Ms. Cortez, collaborated with Granada High ceramic students to create "fantastical" monsters. The younger students wrote short stories and drew the monsters and then Ms. Tabel's ceramic students recreated them in clay. The final result was a fun and creative collaboration!

SENIOR BALL - SATURDAY, MAY 30


The Senior Ball will be held Saturday, May 30 at the Dolce Hayes Mansion.

  • Pictures start at 5:30 p.m.
  • Dinner will be served at 6 p.m.
  • Dancing 7 - 11 p.m.

GRADUATION - FRIDAY, JUNE 19


8 a.m. - Class of 2015 Breakfast
8:30 a.m. - Graduation Rehearsal - Mandatory
5 p.m. - Graduates meet in Gym
6 p.m. - Graduation
10:30 p.m. - Grad Night

We recognize that graduation is a very special event, and will be crowded. To accommodate those who are unable to attend, the ceremony will be broadcast live online.

  • Seating is available on the bleachers; those who arrive at 4 p.m. may save some seats as long as they are physically present in the bleachers. (We will not honor blankets and towels as reserved seats.)
  • Families are welcome to bring lawn chairs to set up in the south end zone (near the scoreboard).
  • Guests are not allowed to stand on the turf before or during the ceremony.

TRI-VALLEY WELDING CAMP


Attention juniors and seniors, there will be a Tri-Valley Welding Camp from June 22 - July 2 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Las Positas College. Click HERE to register by June 3. Click HERE for the flyer.

EMERGING ARTISTS ART SHOW MAY 5 - JUNE 2


The "Emerging Artists" exhibit featuring works from LVJUSD high schools students will open May 5 at the Bankhead Theater lobby. The exhibit will be viewable by the public at the opening reception on May 13 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Click HERE for more information.

TV30 SUMMER CAMP FOR MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS


TV30 is offering a 20 hour camp this summer from August 3-7 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. for middle or high school students who would like to learn more about video production as a future career. Click HERE for more information.

PEER-TUTORING PROGRAM


The Peer-Tutoring Program is being held Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in the Library. Need help in one of your classes? Then stop by the library to work with one of our tutors. Click HERE for more information and if you are interested in being a tutor.
