SOPHOMORE SCIENCE TESTING THIS WEEK
All GHS sophomores will take the California Life Science test at Granada starting at 8:00 on Thursday and Friday, April 28 and April 29.
The bell schedule will be adjusted on both testing days, with Period 1 starting at 9:00. Click here for the bell schedule.
The CST Life Science test is part of the California State Testing process. Click here for additional information for sophomores.
AP TESTING AT GRANADA MAY 2 - 12
Granada students taking AP exams will take their tests at GHS during the first two weeks of May. So that we create the proper testing environment, we will not ring any bells at Granada, nor will we announce anything over the P.A. system from May 2 - 12. Students may want to bring a watch or phone to be sure they have the accurate time.
CAMPO di BOCCE FUNDRAISER
Class of 2017 Campo di Bocce fundraiser takes place this week, April 24-May1. If you go to Camp di Bocce during this time simply put your receipt in the glass jar at the front. Thank you so much for your support of the Junior Class!
SBAC STATE TESTING FOR JUNIORS MAY 31 - JUNE 3
All Granada juniors will participate in state testing in both English Language Arts and Math Tuesday - Friday, May 31 - June 3. All students will have an adjusted bell schedule to allow time for the tests. Click here for the bell schedule.

LIVERMORE-GRANADA BOOSTERS HONOR SCHOLAR ATHLETES
The Olympian Finalists for the 2016 Livermore-Granada Boosters Scholarship include outstanding Granada students: Taylor Lawsen, Megan McCandless, and Amy Moussa; and Aaron Andrews, Maxime Rooney, and Leo Skellenger. These students met the rigorous criteria of excelling as both scholars and athletes over their four years at Granada. Winners will be announced at the annual Olympian Dinner on May 16 at the Robert Livermore Community Center.

GRANADA OFFERS INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE DIPLOMA
Granada High School is the newest member of a global community of over 4,500 schools in 147 countries to offer the internationally recognized IB Diploma. Beginning in Fall 2016, Granada students may enroll in IB courses and may pursue the IB Diploma. We are so proud of our teaching staff for their commitment to excellence that has brought this prestigious and valuable program to Granada! Read the Press Release.
VISUAL OR PERFORMING ARTS SCHOLARSHIP
Attention Seniors: If you are a dedicated student of the Visual or Performing Arts you may qualify for the City of Livermore Arts Scholarship. There is an application available on line at the City of Livermore Website, or you may stop in and get the information from Ms Thournir in room 601. The scholarship is an award of up to $600 to spend on supplies or tuition for college next year, and several of these wards are available. The deadline for applications is Friday April 29th, so if you think you may qualify, please fill out the application !!
TV30 OUTSTANDING HIGH SCHOOL COACH OF THE YEAR AWARD
Did you have a Coach this academic year that made a difference in your sports training and will also have a positive impact on you the rest of your life? Nominate him or her for the TV30 Tri-Valley Sports Final Outstanding High School Coach of the Year Award.
It’s easy to nominate your favorite coach. Just go to www.tv30.org and click on the banner at the top of the website. Fill out the short form and hit submit. The winner will be announced at this year’s Tri-Valley Sports Final Outstanding Athletic Awards Event taking place on May 26, 2016 at the Robert Livermore Community Center.
The deadline to submit the nomination is midnight on May 1, 2016.
Interested in taking Leadership next year? Fill out the application and turn it in to Mrs. Gatehouse by Friday, April 29th. If you are taking the class for the first time or are an incoming freshman, fill out the Leadership 1 application. If you are taking the class again, fill out the Leadership 2 application. There is a teacher recommendation aspect of the Leadership 2 application, so please plan accordingly.
