CALIFORNIA HEALTHY KIDS SURVEY
Freshmen and Juniors will be participating in a California Healthy Kids Survey during the weeks of February 22 - March 4 or March 14 - March 25, 2016. This survey helps to promote better health among our youth, improve the school learning environment and combat problems such as drug abuse and violence. Tri-Valley writers is proud to present our 2016 High School Writing Contest. This annual contest is open to all students attending high schools in Danville, Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton and San Ramon. Submissions will be accepted until April 3, 2016. Please go to Peachjar for more info.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. All seniors & their parents/legal guardians must submit this online application before the March 2 deadline to be eligible for federal student aid. Both the student and parent/legal guardian will be required to provide information on the application.

LAS POSITAS COLLEGE EARLY ADMISSIONS
Seniors who plan to attend Las Positas College in the fall must apply for admissions during Early Admissions. Early Admissions is February 1 - February 29, 2016. PEDROZZI FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Pedrozzi Foundation annually awards scholarships to graduates of high schools within LVJUSD who will attend a 2-year, 4-year or vocational college in the fall. Applications are now available online at www.pedrozzifoundation.org and must be submitted by March 1. Seniors are encouraged to attend.
GRANADA STUDENTS WIN APP CHALLENGE
Congratulations to Sam DeCosta, Meenakshi (Mannu) Singhal, Malvika Singhal, and Shannon Yan who won the 15th District Congressional App Challenge sponsored by Congressman Eric Swalwell. DECA STUDENTS IMPRESS AT CONFERENCE
Granada DECA students attended the NorCal DECA Career Development Conference January 15-17 in San Ramon. Several of our students were finalists or placed in their categories, making an impressive mark on conference judges. Placing second overall and third overall respectively in Fashion & Merchandising Promotion Plan were Tati Hernandez and Rashelle Ramirez-Wurts. Finalists in their events were Erika Yang (Marketing Management Series), Katrina Curb (Business Service Management), Haylie Sunderland (Restaurant & Food Service Management), Jerry Morales (Financial Consulting), and Brandon Cuy (Sports & Entertainment). Congratulations!
