Club Advisers and Club Presidents
Make sure your club members receive the recognition they deserve in the EL Toreador Yearbook. Take your club's group picture (either digital or hard copy photos are fine) and submit the photo and roster of club members names' to Ms Laura Randazzo, yearbook advisor, In room 606 during Block 5.

Requirements
A photo of your group members (no hand signs of any kind, please)
Digital or hard copy photo
Roster of students' names
Due to Ms Randazzo by the end of Block 5 on Freiday, Feb 3.  Any photos received after Feb 3. cannot be guaranteed placement in the yearbook.

How to get it to the yearbook staff:
Drop off photo roster to Ms Randazzo's faculty mailbox in the front office
Bring group photo and roster to Ms Randazzo in Room 606 during Block 5
Email the photo as an attachment and send the roster to Ms Randazzo at lrandazzo@livermore.k12.ca.us

BSU (BLACK STUDENT UNION)

Advisor:  Ms Mitchy Rene.   The BSU meets every Monday at lunch in P21.

The purpose of the Black Student Union at Granada High School is to foster a sense of community amoung all students of the African American culture at Granada High School.  Our mission is to simulate the intellectural, cultural, and social growth of all Granada students.  Through enriching programs such as General Meetings, the BSU Speaker Series, Our Leadership and Mentoring Program, and community service, we seek to educate ourselvers and the larger Granada community, in hopes that awareness will spark action and ignite change in our community.  In addition, the Black student Union shall serve as a resources to all other groups on campus.  It is our belief that young men and women of ordinary ability become Pillars of Strength when aroused by desire, and stimulated by action.

CSF (California Scholarship Federation)

The CSF meets every other Thursday in Room 502

The purpose of CSF is to foster high standards of scholarship, service, and citizenship, on the part of Granada and to promote appropriate activities among the members.  We usually are involved in community service projects.

Academic requirements required for membership.  Applications are available from student services and Ms. Beimford in room 502.

GAY STRAIGHT ALLIANCE

Faculty Advisor: Ms Kim     Club meets every Monday in Room 510

This club meets to discuss various campus activities they're interested in being part of discussing different ways to promote tolerance, and discussing national activities such as The Day of Silence and local celebrations such as Gay Pride Parade in SanFrancisco they plan to be part of.  Above all else this club provides a safe place for all students regardless of their sexual orientation.  ALL students are welcomed.
 

German Club

We are a club open to all student swho wish to improve their German language skills and knowledge of the German culture whil having fun.  
Meetings are every other Thursday at lunch in P-4

Ignited Youth

Ignited Youth is Granada High's Christian Club.  We meet Thursday in roon, 207, at lunch.  Our goal is to bring a real and powerful God to Granada! Anybody is welcome.  We aim to show the love of God to others.

Interact

Interact is a volunteer and community service club. Interact is part of the Rotary Club and is an international organization. Students will be given a chance to develop leadership skills, participate in local events, and coordinate with other high schools in the area. There are weekly meetings and members are expected to participate in service events.

Granada Muslim Student Association

Club President: Umayr Sufi

The Granada Muslim Student Association want to provide a space where Muslims can practice Islam freely.  The Granada MSA also works with the community to provide a positive image of Islam.  The club will be doing food drives, events, bake sales, Fundrasing dinners, seminars on Islam, and inviting speakers to speak.  The club meets every Friday (when announced on El Alviso) during lunch in room 307.  This club is not just of Muslims!  Anyone can join, we want to work with all faiths to learn about Islam and do good things!

Spanish Club

 Advisor: Ms Kelly Drief .   Club meetings are Thursdays at lunch in room P-10

This club has been created in order to allow students to continue their study and appreciation of the Spanish language outside of class.  Meetings are held to discuss fundraising opportunities, to bond with other members, to study Spain's unique and diverse culture, and in order to prepare for a European trip during which they will travel in several cities of northern Spain.
